Shield Antivirus backup plugin added


We’ve added a new free backup plugin that can be used in Backup4all. We currently offer 235 backup plugins that can be loaded in Backup4all to back-up specific application files. In case you’d like to see the full list, you can view it here: List of free backup plugins

The new backup plugin is for Shield Antivirus, a security app that offers protection from all to-date viruses, malware, ransomware, trojans, and spyware for personal desktop and laptop computers.

What is Shield Antivirus

Shield Antivirus is a computer protection suite that helps users identify and remove viruses, spyware, rootkits, bots, trojans and other types of internet security issues. It performs real-time system monitoring and alerts users if viruses, malware or ransomware are detected.

The solution also offers tools that clear browsing history to help maintain user privacy. Shield Antivirus’ secure file transfer feature helps to delete unwanted files from the system.

How to backup and restore Shield Antivirus using the Backup4all plugin

First of all, how does the new backup plugin help? The plugin will help you back-up Shield Antivirus user files and registry keys, so that if you reinstall the program or migrate it to a different computer you’ll be able to restore its settings and files with Backup4all. Basically you won’t have to figure out which files you need to move/copy when you reinstall Shield Antivirus, as the plugin will automatically select the correct files as source for the backup.

In order to backup Shield Antivirus, you have to follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the backup plugin here: Shield Antivirus backup plugin
  2. After you installed the plugin in Backup4all, define a backup job for Shield Antivirus.
  3. Press Save and run the backup.
